Frogmore Creek 5 Star Winery - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion ‘09

2006 FGR Riesling
2008 Tasmanian Wine Show ‘Best White Wine of Show’
FGR stands for Forty Grams Residual, and follows a tradition started by Tasmanian winery Wellington a couple of years ago to use the name to signify a semi-sweet style, modelled on German Kabinett Rieslings. Huon Hooke, Cellar Talk, SMH Good Living, Feb 5, 2008

2007 Sauvignon Blanc
Quite a few Australian winemakers ferment a portion of their sav blanc grapes in barrels, to give the resulting wine a bit more depth of flavour. This lovely lime-and-apple packed white is a successful example of the style. Max Allen, Weekend Australian Magaxzine, Feb 16-17, 2008 2006 Chardonnay Considerable intensity and length; stone fruit and citrus mix; controlled but evident oak. 93 points James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion ‘07

2005 Frogmore Creek Reserve Pinot Noir
This is at the bigger, less ethereal, less varietal end of the Tasmanian pinot spectrum ; a highly structured, powerful pinot with abundant tannins. Rich, lush and concentrated with pepper, black cherry and toasty oak aroma’s.
Now to 10- plus years. 94/100
