2005 "Colin" Cabernet Sauvignon

A  classic example of cabernet with leafy notes sitting gracefully on top of cassis and a little black olive complexity; rich yet fine on the palate, with plenty of fine-grained tannins; oak dominates now, but will offer real pleasure with time. 96 pts

2007 Margaret

A long-term classic with finely honed power and exceptional balance. Its heady, brambly scents of violets, cassis blackberries blueberries and raspberries are underpinned by smoky cedar/mocha/vanilla oak with undertones of dark cherries. Remarkably long, smooth and focused, its very polished, plush palate is saturated with intense fruit and tight-grained oak and tightly knit with firm, but silky-fine tannins, offering a tightly controlled measure of voluptuous depth and expression rare in Australian cabernet.   2008 Cabernet Franc Merlot

The wine is a blend of 45% Cab Franc, 43% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in a combination of new, one year old and two year old French oak for 8 months. The wine is crimson in colour. The nose shows a rich array of mulberry, red berry fruits and strawberry patch. Layers of raspberry and blackcurrant provide a rich and ripe middle palate, with silky tannins leading to a rich and vibrant finish.

2007 Chardonnay

Bright and crisp grapefruit aromas, with just a little touch of oak evident; fresh, vibrant and tightly wound with good concentration; should age gracefully.  92 pts James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion '09
